SeaWorld

Sorry it took me so long to get these pictures out. As promised, here is a post about our fabulous time at SeaWorld! We packed up the car before work so we could leave right at 3pm. I didn't look at the directions until we were at work. That's when I realized that we would have to go through Maricopa to get to San Diego. Oh well! At least we didn't have to go back home before we started our journey.
We arrived at our Best Western around 10pm. It was kind of gross, but what can you expect when you only spend $100 for 2 nights!

SeaWorld was AMAZING! It was better than I could have imagined. We pet the bat rays, a dolphin, small sharks, and fed the sea turtles. Joseph even set the alarm off when he tried to touch the megalton shark jaw. We RAN out of there!

Shamu show!

Aren't these the creepiest eels ever? I think they look like the ones from The Little Mermaid.

Beluga Whale

We went on an endangered species tour where we fed the sea turtles. It wasn't too exciting. All we did was throw lettuce over the side and into the water, but it was still fun :)

It took us about 3 or 4 different trips back to the dolphin pool, but we finally got to pet a dolphin! I was really surprised that he felt like rubber!

Sorry about all of the pictures, but we had a really great time at Sea World. It was by far the best amusement park I've ever been too!

The Backyard is Done!

Joseph and I decided to pay landscapers to take care of our backyard. We got a pretty good deal so we are really excited about it. It only took them 2 days to finish the yard. Here are some before and after pictures.

After!

Our plants are really small, but they'll grow. We have 4 rose bushes on the sides, 2 hibiscus plants, one bird of paradise, 2 bougainvilleas, one euryops daisy bush and one orange tree.

And one Palo Verde for the front yard.

Our euryop daisy is already attracting butterflies :)

And here is a funny picture of Sammy from last night. He was REALLY tired from spending the day playing with the little girls next door. He was laying on his back so I curled his lips over his teeth. I think he looks like he is laughing.

Birthday Weekend

Another year, another birthday. I had a lot of fun yesterday with Joseph. We woke up and went to the temple. It was really nice because that was the first time Joseph and I went without anyone else since we've been married. We sat in the Celestial Room and talked about things that we learned and impressions we had. Bishop Mooney told us that going to the temple together will strengthen our marriage and love for each other. I truly believe that. I love Joseph more now than I did yesterday. :)

For dinner, we went out to eat with Joseph's family at the Macaroni Grill. I LOVE the Macaroni Grill! And I love their bread! We went with Kacey, Chris, Aiden (who slept the entire time!), Mawmaw, Pawpaw, and Jason. We all stuffed ourselves, and then came back to our place to eat the giant cookie cake that Joseph bought for me from Paradise Bakery. It was sooo good!

Mawmaw and Pawpaw were here for Aiden's baby blessing. We had that today at Church. I didn't have a chance to post about Aiden's birth but he is my new nephew who was born on March 13, 2010.
Earlier in the week, Mawmaw helped me with my genealogy. She is really good at researching. She found my grandfather's enlistment papers into the WWII. My dad is really excited!

My birthday is not really over either. We are going to Sea World in San Diego California on May 14th! I'll be sure to post the pictures when we get back. Thank you, Joseph for another great birthday! I love you!
