Emma Smith Story
We watched Emma Smith: My Story today. It was really good! There were a lot of things that I didn't know about Emma. She suffered tremendously and still stayed by Joseph's side. I would suggest watching it. A lot of people have negative feelings about Emma because she went in the opposite direction of the church, but we have to remember what she did to help the church go forward and how she built the Relief Society.

LOST
I've been watching LOST almost every day since the series finale (which I didn't watch because I was too sick).I'm about 1/2 way done with season 3. Every time I watch it I end up wanting someone to get punched in the face or killed. I think this show is turning me into an angry person. But I'm addicted! I need this show! Did anyone have the same feelings?

Under construction
Despite what you may think, being married to a computer guy does not make his wife computer savvy. I'm still trying to figure out this new blog design so my blog may look weird for the next little while... So, please excuse our appearance while my blog is under construction. Thank you!
The Never Ending Paint Project: Part III
Over the weekend Joseph and I finally finished painting the downstairs! It was a huge accomplishment for us. Joseph is getting much better at painting too. He painted most of the computer room himself. Thank you, babe! Most of the down stairs is "classic taupe" and you've seen pictures of the other colors... except for my bathroom. I put "light daffodil" in there. It seems like it would be an nice and pretty color. It is.. unless you put it in a 6x4 bathroom. When you put it in there it's BLINDING! I tried to convince myself over the past several months that it's "not that bad". I was too afraid to tell Joseph I didn't like it because I didn't want him to tease me for changing the paint again like I did with the kitchen. So, I kept quiet. It turns out that our neighbor walked into our bathroom and said "Wow!" You know it's bad when your neighbor comments on it.
Then yesterday I was laying down after work and Joseph came over and said "Can we change the color in the bathroom?" My answer was a resounding YES! We still want to keep the beach/Mexico theme, but this time we think will go with more of a gray/blue color. I think that bathroom needs a little bit of a darker color. If anyone has any ideas, let me know :)

SeaWorld
Sorry it took me so long to get these pictures out. As promised, here is a post about our fabulous time at SeaWorld! We packed up the car before work so we could leave right at 3pm. I didn't look at the directions until we were at work. That's when I realized that we would have to go through Maricopa to get to San Diego. Oh well! At least we didn't have to go back home before we started our journey.
We arrived at our Best Western around 10pm. It was kind of gross, but what can you expect when you only spend $100 for 2 nights!
SeaWorld was AMAZING! It was better than I could have imagined. We pet the bat rays, a dolphin, small sharks, and fed the sea turtles. Joseph even set the alarm off when he tried to touch the megalton shark jaw. We RAN out of there!

Cute baby sea turtles
Aren't these the creepiest eels ever? I think they look like the ones from The Little Mermaid.
Beluga Whale
We went on an endangered species tour where we fed the sea turtles. It wasn't too exciting. All we did was throw lettuce over the side and into the water, but it was still fun :)

It took us about 3 or 4 different trips back to the dolphin pool, but we finally got to pet a dolphin! I was really surprised that he felt like rubber!
Sorry about all of the pictures, but we had a really great time at Sea World. It was by far the best amusement park I've ever been too!

The Backyard is Done!
Joseph and I decided to pay landscapers to take care of our backyard. We got a pretty good deal so we are really excited about it. It only took them 2 days to finish the yard. Here are some before and after pictures.

After!

Our plants are really small, but they'll grow. We have 4 rose bushes on the sides, 2 hibiscus plants, one bird of paradise, 2 bougainvilleas, one euryops daisy bush and one orange tree.

And one Palo Verde for the front yard.

Our euryop daisy is already attracting butterflies :)

And here is a funny picture of Sammy from last night. He was REALLY tired from spending the day playing with the little girls next door. He was laying on his back so I curled his lips over his teeth. I think he looks like he is laughing.

Birthday Weekend
Another year, another birthday. I had a lot of fun yesterday with Joseph. We woke up and went to the temple. It was really nice because that was the first time Joseph and I went without anyone else since we've been married. We sat in the Celestial Room and talked about things that we learned and impressions we had. Bishop Mooney told us that going to the temple together will strengthen our marriage and love for each other. I truly believe that. I love Joseph more now than I did yesterday. :)
For dinner, we went out to eat with Joseph's family at the Macaroni Grill. I LOVE the Macaroni Grill! And I love their bread! We went with Kacey, Chris, Aiden (who slept the entire time!), Mawmaw, Pawpaw, and Jason. We all stuffed ourselves, and then came back to our place to eat the giant cookie cake that Joseph bought for me from Paradise Bakery. It was sooo good!

Mawmaw and Pawpaw were here for Aiden's baby blessing. We had that today at Church. I didn't have a chance to post about Aiden's birth but he is my new nephew who was born on March 13, 2010.
Earlier in the week, Mawmaw helped me with my genealogy. She is really good at researching. She found my grandfather's enlistment papers into the WWII. My dad is really excited! My birthday is not really over either. We are going to Sea World in San Diego California on May 14th! I'll be sure to post the pictures when we get back. Thank you, Joseph for another great birthday! I love you!
